Cameron Diaz loves frogs? Maybe so, maybe not.
Cameron Diaz recently got chosen by Time Magazine as a 2009 Environmental Hero (for driving a hybrid vehicle and asking people if they know where their water comes from!). She has also been quoted as saying “I'd kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it. I love frogs”.
However, Cameron has yet to take any action to protect the frogs she claims to love. Furthermore, when we offered Cameron's publicist Brad Cafarelli a list of five simple ways Cameron could help SAVE THE FROGS!, Brad told us that "unfortunately Cameron will be unable to participate in the campaign".
Our goal is to make the amphibian extinction crisis common knowledge by the 2nd Annual Save The Frogs Day, April 30th 2010, and we need Cameron's support! Once we get Cameron Diaz on board, other celebrities will follow suit, and this will bring significant media attention to the plight of amphibians.
So if you agree with us that Cameron Diaz would look great in a 100% organic cotton SAVE THE FROGS! t-shirt, and if you agree that she should record a Public Service Announcement for SAVE THE FROGS!, and that she should invite the media along with her to attend a lecture on the amphibian extinction crisis, and that Cameron should be a guest of honor at a SAVE THE FROGS! fundraiser, please sign this petition asking Cameron Diaz to stand by her words and help SAVE THE FROGS!

Cameron Diaz has been quoted as saying “I'd
kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping
out of it. I love frogs”. Frogs are under severe threat and at least 2,000 of the world's 6,485 amphibian species are in imminent danger of extinction. At least 100 species have already gone completely extinct in recent years. As an extremely small proportion of the world's population is aware of this environmental catastrophe, it is of critical importance that celebrities like Cameron Diaz take a stand to protect these wonderful animals on which both Earth's ecosystems and humans depend.
SAVE THE FROGS! (www.savethefrogs.com) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to amphibian conservation. Here are four simple ways Cameron can help SAVE THE FROGS!, and in so doing provide a valuable service to society and the planet, while at the same time building her image as an environmentally responsible celebrity.
