Happy Save The Frogs Day!

Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,

I wanted to wish everybody a happy Save The Frogs Day and thank everybody who took part and made it such a great success. We’ll be working hard over the next 12 months to make sure the amphibian extinction crisis is common knowledge by the time the 2nd Annual Save The Frogs Day rolls around on April 30th, 2010. We’ll also be working on a variety of other issues, including legal defense for amphibians, lobbying for necessary environmental protections that currently do not exist, acquiring critical habitat, and funding scientific research and scholarships.

You can read more about our mission on this brand new webpage:

While you’re there, you can scroll down to the bottom to listen to two of the Save The Frogs Day interviews I gave today, one on Charlottesville, VA radio, and one on Vancouver, BC radio. Or just click this link:

I am happy to announce that Mayor Gregor Robertson of Vancouver, British Columbia has officially proclaimed April 28, 2009 as Save The Frogs Day in Vancouver. SAVE THE FROGS! would like to declare Vancouver, BC as Canada's "First Frog-Friendly City".

We now have a county as well: Chairman Corey Stewart has officially proclaimed April 28, 2009 as Save The Frogs Day in Prince William County, VA.

So that’s the City of Vancouver, the County of Prince William and the State of Virginia that have recognized Save The Frogs Day in their respective localities. In 2010, we need YOUR city, YOUR county, YOUR state. I’ll be working on the countries…

Happy Save The Frogs Day!
