Bullfrogs are native to eastern North America. Unfortunately, they've been transported around the world for use as food, and they spell trouble for native amphibian populations. Bullfrogs eat native frogs, outcompete them for food, and spread infectious diseases like chytridiomycosis, which has driven 100 frog species to complete extinction. Learn more about the problems with bullfrogs here.
DONATE TODAY and help us stop the international bullfrog trade, which numbers in the tens of millions of individuals each year, and contributes to the decline and extinction of countless amphibian species.

Reduce your impact: Buy Local
The average grocery store's produce traveled 1,500 miles from the farm where it was grown to your refrigerator, resulting in significant carbon dioxide emissions that contribute to global warming, a primary threat to frogs. Don't buy an apple from the other side of the world if you can buy one from your own country, or better yet from the farmer down the road. Plus, locally produced foods are fresher and virtually always taste better.
