Frog Art & Poetry Contest Winners Announced

Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,

It is a pleasure to announce the winners of our 1st Annual Frog Art and Frog Poetry contests. The Frog Poetry Contest received 414 entries from 14 countries, and the Frog Art Contest received 394 entries from 10 countries. Thanks to all the frog artists and poets who took part!

Both contests were extremely effective at educating students about frog extinctions, and we will be working hard to ensure there are thousands of participants in 2010. Please get your school, university, community group, society, or scout pack involved!

Frog Art Contest Makes Worldwide News

The Frog Art Contest made news in Singapore's Expat Living Magazine (read the article here), and on Charlottesville, VA radio. You can listen to this interview on the Save The Frogs News Page.

Donor Profile - Jason Poggi
Massachusetts native Jason Poggi decided to collect donations for Save The Frogs rather than receiving gifts for his 9th birthday...and he raised $155! Jason plans to be an amphibian biologist, and is currently organizing a Save The Frogs Day fundraiser at his school. Great job Jason!

Frog of the Week

This beautiful glass frog (Hyalinobatrachium fleischmanni) was hanging on a leaf above a stream in central Panama. While many of Panama's frog species have been driven to extinction by a chytrid fungus in recent years, these glass frogs hold on.
