The 3rd Annual Save The Frogs Day -- April 29, 2011!
Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,
I am extremely excited to officially announce the 3rd Annual Save The Frogs Day: April 29th, 2011.
Save The Frogs Day is our single greatest opportunity to spread the word about amphibian extinctions and to get people worldwide taking action to protect the Earth's remaining amphibian populations.
Last year's Save The Frogs Day was the largest day of amphibian education and conservation action in the planet's history, with 104 events in 21 countries. With your involvement, I'm sure we can double those numbers this April 29th! The Save The Frogs Day webpage has lots of ideas to help you organize your own event.
Save The Frogs Day is a de-centralized event: that means it's up to you to make something happen in your part of the universe. The frogs are depending on you. Your children and their children are depending on you. The future of the planet lies in your hands and in your actions. SAVE THE FROGS!

Save The Frogs Day Rally in Washington, DC
Please join us in Washington, DC on the 3rd Annual Save The Frogs Day (April 29th, 2011)! We will be gathering at the steps of the US Environmental Protection Agency to raise awareness of frog extinctions and demand a federal ban on Atrazine, the 21st Century's DDT. Atrazine turns male frogs into females at 2.5 parts per billion. Atrazine is an endocrine disruptor that was banned in the European Union in 2004, but eighty million pounds of it are dumped into American ecosystems each year.
Once Americans know about the problems Atrazine causes, there will be overwhelming public support for a ban. That's why we need you to make your voice heard in Washington, DC. The rally will take place from 11am to 1pm, and there will be plenty of other amphibious activities in the DC area that week. All ages are welcome to attend. More details coming soon...they'll be posted on the Save The Frogs Day page, and we'll be emailing you updates over the upcoming weeks.
We'll see you in Washington, D.C. on April 29th! Please spread the word!

Save The Frogs Day 2011 Poster!
Please buy the Official Poster of the 3rd Annual Save The Frogs Day: it's awesome, and all proceeds help SAVE THE FROGS!
Save The Frogs Factoid #76: The first project I ever did for SAVE THE FROGS! was creating a frog poster.
I did this because frog posters are a great way to get the word out, to educate people, and to make your bedroom, living room, classroom or office look a lot nicer! This commemorative, limited-edition poster features a Southern Orange-eyed Treefrog (Litoria chloris) I was fortunate enough to meet one night in Springbrook National Park in Queensland, Australia.
Save The Frogs Day Petition
Save The Frogs Day has been legally recognized by Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia (2009), and by Mayor Robertson of Vancouver (2009) and Mayor Rotkin of Santa Cruz (2010). It's up to you to get Save The Frogs Day recognized in your city, county, state, shire, province or nation! You will be educating your politicians about amphibian extinctions, and helping ensure that their next vote is a frog-friendly one! Please print out this petition and collect signatures, then we'll provide you with instructions on how to get it to your elected officials!
SAVE THE FROGS! PowerPoint Slideshows
Our goal is to provide the highest quality amphibian educational materials, and to make it as simple as possible for an interested person to use those materials to teach others about amphibians and the problems they face. We recently posted to our site an updated version of "The Wild World of Frogs", the slideshow I created and use at the majority of my own presentations. It features my frog photos from around the world; it's time tested and audience approved, so I'm sure your Save The Frogs Day audience will love it!
Fantastic Frog Art Auction on eBay
The reknowned wildlife artist Pine Roehrs donated this beautiful painting of a Southern Orange-eyed Treefrog to SAVE THE FROGS!. We are auctoning it off to raise money for our Save The Frogs Day efforts. This is a one of a kind painting (no prints have been made!) and it includes a beautiful frame. The artwork is based off a photograph I took of a frog in Springbrook National Park in Queensland, Australia. This frog is also the official mascot of the 3rd Annual Save The Frogs Day!
One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to SAVE THE FROGS!, so go place your bid now!
Thanks for your support!
