Happy Save The Frogs Day!

Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,

It is my honor to be able to wish you a very happy Save The Frogs Day! Three years ago SAVE THE FROGS! did not even exist, but today our supporters will hold at least 118 events in 24 states and 20 countries, making this the largest day of amphibian education and conservation action in the planet's history. The US Environmental Protection Agency knows about Save The Frogs Day; we're making international news; and other nonprofits are promoting our efforts to their millions of members.

Today more than ever before I am sure that we are saving the frogs! Thanks to all those who are taking a stand today -- and every day -- against pesticides, frog legs, dissections, habitat destruction and climate change, and all those who are helping us promote a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. Enjoy your day!

Thanks to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is the first environmental nonprofit I can remember supporting, and they have been large proponents of an Atrazine ban for the last decade. Today the NRDC is sending a message to its 1.2 million newsletter subscribers announcing Save The Frogs Day and asking them to send a letter to the EPA calling for a federal ban on Atrazine! It's great to have the NRDC's support on this issue.

The NRDC is a national, nonprofit organization of scientists, lawyers and environmental specialists dedicated to protecting public health and the environment. Founded in 1970, NRDC has 1.2 million members and online activists, served from offices in New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Beijing.  Please have a look at the NRDC website:

Thanks to the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD)

The Center for Biological Diversity works through science, law and creative media to secure a future for all species, great or small, hovering on the brink of extinction. Many of the protections afforded to endangered species exist through the efforts of the CBD. Yesterday the CBD emailed the 300,000 people on their mailing list announcing Save The Frogs Day and asking them to write the EPA to get a federal ban on Atrazine production. Thanks CBD!
