Let's Save The Frogs!
Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,
My name is Alyson Lee, I'm a graphic design volunteer for SAVE THE FROGS!. In June 2008 my 8-year old son Jackson came running into the room and told me I had to go look at the SAVE THE FROGS! website. I contacted Dr. Kriger right away and offered to help out. The first thing I did was design the SAVE THE FROGS! logo, and I've donated over 500 hours of volunteer time to SAVE THE FROGS! since then. I designed most of the posters, flyers, shirts, petitions, icons and other educational materials you see all around the SAVE THE FROGS! website.
I'm a single mom and don't have a lot of free time or money laying around -- I could find plenty of things to do other than volunteering. But I don't want my son to grow up to live in a world without frogs. A world where the old-growth forests are all gone and the wetlands have all been covered with strip malls. I've donated hundreds of hours to SAVE THE FROGS! because I know that SAVE THE FROGS! can change our entire society. I've watched SAVE THE FROGS! grow into a worldwide movement. I've spent hundreds of hours working with Dr. Kriger and can tell you he is one of the hardest working and most passionate people you'll ever meet. But I know that we need more than just graphics and passion to power this movement: we need funding as well.
PLEASE DONATE TO SAVE THE FROGS! and help us raise $10,000 to fund this April's Save The Frogs Day!
Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, so please make the most generous donation you can afford! SAVE THE FROGS got by on just over $100,000 this year, a budget about one thousand times smaller than the big nonprofits. We get so much done not just because we work hard and have a great volunteer force but because over 87% of your donation dollars go directly to programs -- far above the industry average. The rest covers what's necessary to run the organization. I've seen firsthand how much we get done with every dollar!
Some of my work you may recognize!
The SAVE THE FROGS! logo was my very first SAVE THE FROGS! project, back in September 2008!
I designed the icon for Dr. Kriger's free book that got downloaded over 40,000 times in the first 48 hours after it was released this past October:
I've been designing Save The Frogs Day materials since 2008; it's been fantastic to watch Save The Frogs Day grow!
I flew down from Boston to attend the Save The Frogs Day Atrazine Rally; this was my first time visiting the White House. SAVE THE FROGS! Learn all about Atrazine here.
I love the SAVE THE FROGS! Visa Cards -- and the bank donates $50 to SAVE THE FROGS! after you make your first purchase...Pretty cool! Learn more here.
Dr. Kriger and I designed the SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana logo over Skype while he was in Ghana. Order one at http://savethefrogs.com/shirts and learn all about SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana at http://savethefrogs.com/ghana
This 14-foot long design I did is up in Atlanta's International Airport -- the busiest airport in the world. It gets viewed by thousands of people every day.
I'm tempted to fly out to Seattle for this Save The Frogs Day 5K!

"Alyson: A sincere thank you for your design work to help our tiny frog friends! You do outstanding work! Our daughter is a designer so we have a bit of knowledge to make a judgement about the quality of design work. The fact that you are donating your time speaks so well of your values. Bless you! And I hope some cute little frog gives you a kiss today!"

Happy Holidays and please please donate!
It's money well spent, and we can't do what we do without your support!
Thanks for helping out!

Me and my son Jackson with SAVE THE FROGS! Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger at the Save The Frogs Day Atrazine Rally in front of the US EPA Headquarters April 29, 2011. We flew down from Boston to take part.
In order to save the frogs leaping by fresh water ponds
We can't just wave our magic wands.
We must take action to see a reaction.
Even though these words are succinct,
Frogs need our help to keep from becoming extinct.
