The 5th Annual Save The Frogs Day 2013: April 27, 2013

Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,

In December 2008 I conceived Save The Frogs Day as a means to spread worldwide awareness for endangered amphibian populations, which at the time were receiving little recognition or assistance. Last year our supporters held over 200 Save The Frogs Day educational events in 39 countries, making Saving The Frogs Day the world's largest day of amphibian education and conservation action. This April 27th we celebrate the 5th Annual Save The Frogs Day and our goal is 300 educational events in 50 countries! Please help us reach our goal and spread massive amounts of amphibian education across the globe. You can help by organizing an event in your town; spreading the word to your local schools, museums and nature clubs; fundraising for our efforts; and/or by donating to help us fund events being held in developing countries.

One of the worst parts of my job is when passionate young amphibian conservationists write me asking to help fund their Save The Frogs Day events, and I am unable to do so due to lack of funds. Right now SAVE THE FROGS! has many supporters around the globe willing to help out: it's up to us to ensure that we can get them the funding they need to hold Save The Frogs Day events in their community! We have given out over $6,000 in Save The Frogs Day grants over the past four years, but this year we have already gotten requests for far more than that.

Please help me raise $5,000 for the 5th Annual Save The Frogs Day so that we can fund events in India, Bangladesh, Ghana, Colombia and other developing countries where we have supporters poised to hold major events, but who eagerly await our financial assistance. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. If you can donate $50 or more, we will add your name to the Thank You section of the 2013 Save The Frogs Day page, where you will be acknowledged for all eternity (or a long time anyway!). I will personally donate $100 for every $1,000 we raise between now and next Monday, March 11th, so please ask your parents, friends, colleagues, and fellow students to pitch in, and help us make the 5th Annual Save The Frogs Day our biggest and best Save The Frogs Day ever! And if you want to be a matching donor for a future campaign, please let us know! Thank you so much!!!

Learn how YOU can get involved with Save The Frogs Day 2013: we've got lots of ideas for you!

The goal of Save The Frogs Day is to get people all around the world working to promote amphibian conservation in their own communities. Please get involved!

Please join SAVE THE FROGS! Academy online Sunday March 10th and let's discuss YOUR upcoming Save The Frogs Day event and other ways you can help

The best way to coordinate, promote and grow Save The Frogs Day is to get lots of people working in a collaborative manner under my supervision. In this way, many people will be helping and getting trained in SAVE THE FROGS' time-tested methods of spreading environmental awareness. Three weeks ago we launched SAVE THE FROGS! Academy, through which we are conducting an online class dedicated exclusively to Save The Frogs Day. We invite you to join us online this Sunday March 10th from 12pm to 130pm Pacific Time so that you can learn what our students are doing to promote Save The Frogs Day and so that YOU can ask your questions and provide suggestions, or offer your assistance to help spread the word and organize Save The Frogs Day events. Please join us if you are taking part in Save The Frogs Day events or want to help out from afar.

Save The Frogs Day

"I fully support the mission of Save The Frogs! and will do what I can to continue promoting the activities that you so effectively have created.  I especially admire how you are taking the message to communities and nations around the world, and involving young people who - once they understand the crisis that exists in their own country - can contribute their energies to the vision you have been sharing in your travels."
-- Vic Eichler, Ph.D., Three Rivers, Michigan

Thanks for your support!

Frogs are the most threatened group of animals on the planet: nearly 2,000 of the world's amphibian species are threatened with extinction and at least 150 species have entirely disappeared since 1979. SAVE THE FROGS! is America's first and only public charity dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. Your generous financial support makes our work possible!
