New Save The Frogs Video: Threats to Ghana's Frogs

On September 22nd, SAVE THE FROGS! Founder Dr. Kerry Kriger and SAVE THE FROGS! Advisory Committee Chairman Michael Starkey gave presentations for an online SAVE THE FROGS! Academy class all about Ghana's amphibians, the threats they face, and what SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana is doing to help amphibians. We highly recommend you watch it.

Watch our new Ghana video here!

Mining Ghana
Mining in Ghana occurs both on a small-scale level by locals and on a large-scale level by multi-national corporations, often illegally. Mountaintop removal mining is a huge threat to frogs as it not only destroys forest, it also contaminates streams with sediment and harmful chemicals.

Save The Frogs Gift Center

Frogs are the most threatened group of animals on the planet: nearly 2,000 of the world's amphibian species are threatened with extinction and at least 150 species have entirely disappeared since 1979. SAVE THE FROGS! is America's first and only public charity dedicated exclusively to amphibian conservation. Your generous financial support makes our work possible!
