Ask the Gilroy Garlic Festival to prohibit frog leg sales
Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,
The Gilroy Garlic Festival in California should be celebrating garlic rather than frog extinction. Please call them and ask them to prohibit the selling of frog legs at their festival: 408-842-1625. The frogs being sold are in all likelihood either wild-caught or farm-raised non-native, disease-spreading, predatory American Bullfrogs shipped here from some distant country. The festival takes place this weekend, so we must act fast: thanks for calling the festival's director Mr. Brian Bowe at 408-842-1625 and taking action for the frogs! Stay tuned also for an email action alert we will be sending out shortly if need be. Learn more about the problems with frog legs at:

We distributed $7,313 in Save The Frogs Day grants this year
Since 2009, SAVE THE FROGS! has awarded $17,693 in grants to help fund Save The Frogs Day events around the world. We are extremely pleased to announce that this year SAVE THE FROGS! awarded $7,313 in funding to eight groups in developing countries to enable and assist their Save The Frogs Day 2014 events. We chose these eight winners based on their past history of event successes; how well written their proposals were; and the impact their event was expected to have. Thanks to all our supporters whose donations made the awards and events possible and thanks to all the Save The Frogs Day event organizers for spreading our amphibious message to distant lands. With no further ado, this year's winners were:
- Dr. Krishan Sharma & Vivek Sharma, Save Environment and Welfare of Animals Society, India, $800

This Australian girl raised $195 for SAVE THE FROGS!
On Save The Frogs Day 2014, Charlie helped bake and sell over 200 frog biscuits, raising US$195 for SAVE THE FROGS! She is very proud of all of her efforts. When asked why she is helping to Save The Frogs, this was her response: 'I love helping frogs because they are cute and they are endangered'. Thanks also to Glen Iris Primary School for being very supportive of her efforts. Charlie made a real-life impact by becoming a SAVE THE FROGS! fundraiser.
