Introduction

Video Contest - Cash PrizesAmphibian populations worldwide are in the midst of a mass extinction crisis, yet most people are completely unaware! We need your help in getting the word out. This contest invites you to create cool videos that mention savethefrogs.com. The contest will raise awareness of the amphibian extinction problem by getting people involved and interested, and all the videos will be placed on YouTube and/or similar video-sharing sites in order to publicize our cause to a wide audience. Remember that our goal is to have the amphibian extinction crisis be common knowledge by the 2nd Annual Save The Frogs Day, April 30th, 2010! Help make it happen!

We encourage all filmmaking teachers and students to get their classes involved in this contest.

Frog Video Contest rules

There are only two rules:

(1) Videos must be your original creation; and

(2) All videos must make reference to savethefrogs.com, either audibly or visibly (or both). Do not use http:// or www.

That's it! No more rules! Use your imagination and have fun! And yes, you may submit as many videos as you like...the more the better!

How do I make a Frog Video?

Litoria eucnemisThat's up to you! Here are some ideas, in no particular order:

* Use live frog footage if you have it;

* Interview people in the street about frogs.

* Recite the frog poem you entered into the 1st Annual Frog Poetry Contest.

* Make a video of you creating Frog Art for the 1st Annual Frog Art Contest.

*Build a frog pond and make a documentary about it.

* Submit a video of you giving a live presentation of frogs.

* Party for the frogs. And film it (just be sure you know how to edit!).

* Film yourself dancing around in a cool 100% organic cotton SAVE THE FROGS! t-shirt.

* Talk or sing about frogs; it can be funny or serious;

* Make an animated video or use high tech digital imagery;

* Make a slideshow, or use moving scripts;

* Sit in front of your webcam, or use professional equipment with actors and actresses,

Anything you want, it's up to you, just be sure to mention savethefrogs.com

Who can enter?

Anybody! We encourage students and teachers to get their film classes involved on Save The Frogs Day. We encourage amateur and professional filmmakers to take part as well. And the more countries represented the better! Did we mention that it is indeed FREE to enter the contest?
