Taudactylus diurnus -- Southern Day Frog

Taudactylus diurnus -- Southern Day Frog

The Southern Day Frog lived exclusively along rainforest streams of the Conondale, D'Aguilar and Blackall Ranges, northwest of Brisbane, Australia. These frogs have not been seen since January 1979. Interestingly, the earliest record of the chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis in Australia is from December 1978...in the Conondale Range.
