Chiromantis xerampelina

Chiromantis xerampelina

Chiromantis xerampelina; Grey Tree Frog or Foam Frog. Common in the Lowveld of South Africa. Several females build and share a nest of secreted foam on a branch overhanging a pool. Eggs laid in the foam hatch and the tadpoles fall into the water below. They are frequently seen, almost white and glued to the walls of buildings. I once drove more than 100 km before discovering one sitting on the cab roof of my pick-up truck.
