Governor Tim Kaine legally recognizes Save The Frogs Day
Dear SAVE THE FROGS! Supporter,
I am happy to announce that Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia issued a proclamation last week declaring April 28th, 2009 as Save The Frogs Day in Virginia. To the best of my knowledge this makes Governor Kaine the highest ranking political figure in the world to officially acknowledge the amphibian extinction crisis. It pleases me to know that he is aware of the problems amphibians face, and I hope this positively affects his decisions regarding the environment in the future. I would like to take this opportunity to bestow upon him the title of “America’s First Frog-Friendly Governor”.
