Brite Chuang – Second Prize Winner
Congratulations to Brite Chuang of Westford, Massachussetts, the Second Prize Winner of the 2013 SAVE THE FROGS Art Contest! Learn all about habitat destruction, the #1 cause of amphibian extinctions, right here: www.savethefrogs.com/threats/habitat-destruction
Habitat destruction is the #1 cause of amphibian population declines worldwide. Bulldozers in Canada are currently preparing to destroy the habitat of Lake Erie’s endangered Fowler’s Toads, but with your help we can stop the destruction. One of the most disturbing trends in the United States is that of developers chopping down entire forests to build housing developments completely devoid of trees, leaving ugly biological wastelands for people to call home. In many tropical countries, rainforests and cloudforests are being destroyed for incoming palm oil, coffee and sugar plantations, and to create grasslands on which to raise cattle. Please watch what you eat, and reduce your addictions to environmentally damaging substances!
Aaditya Singh – Third Prize Winner
Congratulations to Aaditya Singh of the United Arab Emirates, Age 9, Third Prize Winner of the 2013 SAVE THE FROGS Art Contest! Aaditya successfully and succinctly summarized what thousands of biology teachers worldwide have yet to understand.
