The 8th Annual Save The Frogs Day (April 30th, 2016) was the largest day of amphibian education and conservation action in the planet’s history, directly reaching over 14,000 participants, with at least 142 events taking place in 28 countries: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ghana, India, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tanzania, United Kingdom and the USA. Thanks to everyone who made Save The Frogs Day 2016 possible!

STF Ghana’s Gilbert Adum wins $51,100 frog conservation award

We are pleased to announce that the Whitley Fund For Nature has awarded SAVE THE FROGS! Ghana’s Gilbert Adum with a frog conservation grant in the amount of 35,000GBP (US$51,100) to further his efforts protecting Giant Squeaker Frogs (Arthroleptis krokosua), one of the world’s most endangered frog species. Gilbert was awarded this prestigious environmental prize at The Royal Geographical Society in London in front of over 550 guests including Sir David Attenborough and the daughter of the Queen of England.

Help Save Endangered Red-Legged Frogs: Marin County

Please join SAVE THE FROGS! in San Rafael, California on Thursday April 16th, 2015 and speak up on behalf of endangered California Red-Legged Frogs, our official state amphibian! The City of San Francisco has applied for a permit to dredge and drain the Sharp Park Wetlands. Their goal is to create dry land for a publicly-funded, money-losing golf course. Our goal is to stop them! The City’s draining activities kill the Red-Legged Frogs as well as the endangered San Francisco Garter Snakes.
