SAVE THE FROGS! Bangladesh is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to protecting Bangladesh's amphibian populations and to promoting a society that respects and appreciates nature and wildlife. Bangladesh is home to 37 known species of amphibians, many of which are facing extreme threats due to the country’s dense human population. Habitat destruction and harmful pesticides are contributing to the decline of amphibians in Bangladesh. SAVE THE FROGS! Bangladesh is the first Asian branch of USA-based SAVE THE FROGS!, and has been actively raising awareness of amphibian issues in Bangladesh since 2009.

"Our main objective of the event was to aware about Frog conservation & its importance among local people of Godagari,Rajshahi, Bangladesh. People of Godagari often used to kill frogs for the trade purpose, using pesticides in agricultural field, or unknown reasons. It was great threat to Frogs in Goadagari. So we targeted the area so that we can motivate people aware about frogs & its importance. We organised the program schedule in such way that we can engage school & colleges students. We arranged Composition competition, Open quiz competition, Debate competition and Drawing competition. We wanted that students willingly to think about frog importance and then we could easily reach to local people. And we have successfully finished our program. If there was enough fund it would be more better. Hope we will arrange more gorgeous program next. And honestly thanks to "Save The Frogs Day Team" for supporting us." - The Nature Eye Team

Testimonials

"I became interested in frogs and amphibians as a child in the 1970's by playing in my garden and meeting them. I'm alarmed by their escalating global decline - and the lack of understanding and interest in our connection to nature - in the desire for economic profitability. I feel very helpless with the big global issues - but feel a part of something with a power for good with SAVE THE FROGS!"
