On December 2nd, 2017, SAVE THE FROGS! Paraguay held a frogging expedition at Parque Guasu Metropolitano in the capital, Asunción. Fifteen frog enthusiasts joined us looking for frogs and taking pictures of them, after which we released them back into their habitat. We were led by herpetologist Alberto Carosini, an expert who identified the species. Parque Guasu Metropolitano is an urban park on the outskirts of the city, administered by the government. Despite human disturbances and recent clearing of natural vegetation in some parts of the park, natural habitats for frogs persist within its boundaries.

Testimonials

"I'm a graduate from Auburn University (USA). I majored in Zoology and specialized in Herpetology. My research for the past 3 years has been on Hyla avivoca. Frogs make me happier than anything else. They're cute, loud, and ever so important to their ecosystems. I can honestly say I want to find and protect them for the rest of my life!"

Inspiration

"The great rule in life is to find something you love to do and then find a way to make a living doing it. You can open any door when you're good at what you do."
