In January 2011 we began restoring habitat for endangered California Red-Legged Frogs at Antonelli Pond in Santa Cruz. Hundreds of volunteers have helped us remove non-native weeds and bullfrogs, and plant native vegetation. On November 16th, 15 students from the Natural Bridges Green Careers High School helped us install fish exclusion fences to prevent non-native fish from eating the California Red-Legged Frog egg masses! Thanks to Patagonia for funding this project, the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County for their assistance, SAVE THE FROGS! Advisory Committee Member Dr. Nina D’Amore for coordinating everything and of course all the volunteers!
